Bertolt Brecht, one of the most famous theater creators and thinkers of the 20th century, was not only a director, playwright, poet, but also a theater theorist. Brecht developed a theory describing the basics of political theater and an acting method that encouraged viewer's critical thinking rather than identification with the characters.
